Rabat is the capital city of Morocco, located right next to the Atlantic ocean. It combines old heritage Medinas and Kasbah (fortress), which are inscribed as UNESCO sites and new modern districts.

It is well connected with the city next to it – Sale, where i have stayed. Still they are so close that it’s hard to understand that it is two different cities. Sale itself is local and real place, calm and nice. It got big medina, which is quite similar to what i saw before. Actually, all medinas are pretty similar.

Today i have checked main sights in Rabat including this well restored site on the pic, which is called Hassan tower, Medina and very nice area of the fort, which is so peaceful and nice, so colourful and feesh, that i was surprised that i have never heard about it before.

Rabat is probably not the main point of interest in Morocco, but for sure worth spending a day or two here if you explore the country. Actually, that’s my plan for now. I already have seen Tangier, Tetuan, Chefchaouen, Fes, Meknes and Rabat. 4 more are coming. Any gueses what it will be?
