Today i’m leaving my condo to check a another side of Phuket.
After spending my morning time in gym in my condo, i called a taxi and moved to the area of Mai Khao beach to to see how the life goes on the different side of the island. Man Khao is 11km-long beach which is still undeveloped and protected as it is part of the Sirinat National Park. It looks very cool, clean and green. Man Khao literally means “white wood» and the beach is blessed with amazing sand and almost empty all the time. It’s possible to walk here for kilometres with little people around, which is really rare for such a touristy place as Phuket.
The only thing in the area is the airport and several resorts, including Renaissance Phuket resort and Spa, where i will stay for the next couple days.
I never spend a lot of time in places like this, so this is definitely an experience of it’s own kind. From the moment i entered the resort i was surrounded by attention: somehow receptionist recognised me (it’s so nice, i always hated that strange moment during check-in, when you have to explain who are you), brought welcome drinks and very quickly i was on my way to the room on the private mini car. Never in my life i was brought to my room from the reception by the car. 😆
The room itself was fabulous and full of little details: from welcome bottle of champagne, fruits and snacks to lots of little bottles of toiletries. But the most amazing was the greeting card: they literally have found my Instagram and put my picture on the card with some personalised greetings. The is such an awesome touch, absolutely gorgeous!
The resort itself got several restaurants, cafes, Spa and it’s possible to stay in a room or in a villa. Of course, there is a pool, gym and the beach itself is literally minute away from my room. So something to enjoy for the next days. At night i had a dinner at one of the restaurants here with some Thai food and fish, which was greatly prepared and feels like a great food. Also i was a bit surprised, that this place, though so posh, is not something extremely expensive. Definitely makes sense to consider it if you want to splurge a bit, enjoy some luxuries and don’t overspend.
